The First United Vesak Celebration of Buddhist Communities in PEI: A Sacred Gathering of Dhamma and Harmony
On May 30, 2026 (B.E. 2570), for the first time in Prince Edward Island, Buddhist communities from Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar came together to celebrate Vesak under the organization of the PEI Buddhist Meditation Center. This auspicious gathering was also graced by the presence of the monastics from GEBIS.

United Under One Supreme Master and the Path of Practice
Although we come from different countries, speak different languages, and follow different cultural traditions, we all share the same Supreme Master—the Buddha. We are united by the same language of the Dhamma and the same path of practice based on Precepts, meditation, and wisdom.

A Foundation for Future Buddhist Affiliation and Cooperation
May this first united Vesak celebration in Prince Edward Island serve as a foundation for greater friendship, understanding, and cooperation among all Buddhist communities for many years to come.

The celebration echoes the timeless verses of joy and harmony:
- “Happy is the arising of the Buddhas.
- Happy is the teaching of the True Dhamma.
- Happy is the harmony of the Sangha.
- Happy is the united practice of the Fourfold Assembly.”
Wishing all our Buddhist brothers and sisters a very Happy Vesak Day! May this sacred day bring peace, happiness, good health, wisdom, and abundant blessings to you and your loved ones. May the teachings of Lord Buddha inspire compassion, harmony, and inner joy in your life.
May the five blessings of longevity, beauty, happiness, strength, and wisdom taught by the Lord Buddha be bestowed upon all beings.
Happy Vesak Day!
Sabbe Sattā Bhavantu Sukhitattā — May all beings be happy and peaceful.
